Install Over 9001 on your phone or computer

Over 9001 is a web app, so there is nothing to download from an app store. Add it to your home screen and it opens like any other app, full screen and a tap away.

What you get

A home-screen icon. One tap to your sets, with no browser bars in the way.
Offline use. Sets you’ve opened recently still open when your signal drops, such as at a shop or a tournament venue. Tap “Save for offline” on a set page to keep the whole set, with every card image. Signed in, cards you tick offline are saved to your account when you’re back online. On iPhone, save sets from the home-screen app itself: it doesn’t share storage with Safari.
Notifications on iPhone. Apple only allows web notifications from sites added to the home screen (iOS 16.4 or later), so install first, then switch notifications on. On Android and desktop they work without installing.

iPhone and iPad

Needs iOS 16.4 or later to also receive notifications. Safari is the simplest route.

Open over9001.com in Safari.
Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow, at the bottom of the screen, or the top on iPad).
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. If you do not see it, tap View More first.
Tap Add. The Over 9001 icon appears on your home screen.

Using Chrome, Edge or Firefox on iPhone? From iOS 16.4 they can add to the home screen too: open the browser’s menu or Share button and choose Add to Home Screen. If it is missing, open this page in Safari.

Links opened inside another app (Instagram, Facebook, Messages previews) cannot be installed. Tap the browser icon to open the page in Safari first.

Android

Open over9001.com in Chrome (Samsung Internet and Edge work the same way).
Tap Install on the banner at the bottom of the page. Or open the ⋮ menu and choose Install app (some versions say Add to Home screen).
Confirm with Install. The icon is added to your home screen and app drawer.

Windows, Mac and Chromebook

Open over9001.com in Chrome or Edge.
Click the Install icon at the right end of the address bar (a small screen with a down arrow), or open the ⋮ menu and choose Install Over 9001.
Confirm with Install. It opens in its own window and can be pinned to your taskbar or Dock.

Firefox on desktop and Safari on Mac (before macOS 14) do not install web apps. Safari 17 on macOS 14 or later can: choose File → Add to Dock.

Removing it

The app takes almost no space, and your ticks live on your account, so removing it loses nothing.

iPhone and iPad: press and hold the icon, tap Remove App, then Delete App.
Android: press and hold the icon, then choose Uninstall (or Remove to only take it off the home screen).
Windows, Mac and Chromebook: open the app, click the ⋮ menu in its title bar and choose Uninstall Over 9001.
